Following the 1999 Izmit earthquake, STFA completed soil investigation
works for the Istanbul Municipality to carry out "A Study on Disaster
Prevention and a Mitigation Basic Plan for the Istanbul Region including
Seismic Microzonation".
STFA also completed the geo-technical invetigations for all phases of
the Great Man Made River project in Libya. The company has acquired a
great wealth of information and knowledge of Libyan geology and its terrain
for over 30 years. It is fully mobilized to offer a complete range of
soil investigation services in that country.
