FEYZİ AKKAYA was commemorated at Istanbul Technical University
Istanbul Technical University, Engineering Club (MHK) has organised a panel on 12-13-14 th of April 2006 regarding “Civil Engineering – Today and Tomorrow” at Süleyman Demirel Culture Center. The first day of the panel was dedicated to Mr. Feyzi Akkaya – the pioneer of the Turkish Engineers and one of the founders of STFA. He was commemorated by various activities including two documentary films regarding his life.
STFA awarded TP-202230P “New Building for Substation XX” in Libya
STFA has been awarded a new contract in Marsa El Brega on 30.March.2006 for the construction of a new substation for Sirte Oil Company.
The project covers the civil, ventilation, electrical and fire control system of the substation project. The project duration is 185 days and the value is 315,385 US Dollars.
STFA awarded a contract for Adana Gölovası (SANKO) Jetty in Turkey
STFA Marine Construction Company has signed a contract on 29.03.2006 for Adana Gölovası Jetty of SANKO Holding Company.
The project covers the construction of a piled jetty with a length of 700 m. The construction materials will be supplied by the client. The duration of the project is 12 months and the value is 3,618,382 US Dollars.
STFA has been invited to sign a contract for Liquid Cargo Terminal at Port Qasim in Pakistan
STFA has been invited to sign a contract for Liquid Cargo Terminal Project on BOT basis at Port Qasim in Pakistan. The project was tendered by FWO Enterprises (Pvt.) Limited on 05.01.2006 and STFA has been given the lowest offer.
STFA has received a letter of intent on 01.03.2006 to sign the contract. The value of the project is 10 Million US Dollars and covers the construction of loading platform, berthing dolphins, cat walk, approach bridge, dredging and reclamation, office and building works.
STFA awarded Erzincan and Antalya Natural Gas Pipeline Distribution Project
Metangaz City Natural Gas Distribution Company (Affiliate Company of STFA) awarded the Erzincan (27.02.2006) and Antalya (17.02.2006) Natural Gas Pipeline Distribution Projects. Feasibility studies of the projects have been made by Energy Investment Holding Company and the Client is Energy Market Regulatory Authority.
STFA awarded two new piling contracts in Dubai
Al Habtoor–STFA Soil Group LLC. has signed two contracts with Damac Crescent Properties Co. LLC for the piling works of “The Crescent Towers (3 Nos)” and “Executive Heights at Tecom Enabling Works”.
The Crescent Towers project covers the excavation works and the construction of 708 nos of bored piles having diameters varying from 600 mm to 1200 mm. The value of the project is 2,602,740 US Dollars and the duration is 100 days.
Executive Heights at Tecom Enabling Works project covers the excavation and drainage works and construction of 406 nos of bored piles having diameters varying from 800 mm to 1200 mm. The value of the project is 3,260,274 US Dollars and the construction period is 200 days.
STFA awarded piling works of Soyak Bluecity Project in İzmir, Turkey
STFA Temel Pile Construction Company has been awarded the piling works of the First Phase Building Works in İzmir Soyak Bluecity Project on 21.02.2006.
The project covers the construction of bored piles each having a diameter of 80 cm and a length of 35 m. The duration of the project is 4 months and the value is 1,286,236 YTL + VAT.
The contract is only for workmanship and the material will be supplied by the client.
STFA awarded a piling contract from Dubai International Properties
Al Habtoor–STFA Soil Group LLC. has signed a contract with Dubai International Properties (DIP) for “Piling Works for La Ville Contemporaine (The Lagoons), DHCC 2 Bridges and Elevated Roads” on 09.02.2006.
The project covers the construction of bored piles with diameters varying from 600 mm to 1500 mm. The value of the project is 28,071,185 ABD Doları and the construction period is 264 days.
STFA SOIL GROUP has succesfully completed two of his contracts in Oman.
Piling Works of the Offsite Area, Sohar Refinery Project in Oman” was completed on 30.08.2004.The agreement was made on 19 January 2004 with Dodsal Co. LLC. The project consisted of 2134 nos cast in situ bored piles with outer diameters varying from 450 mm to 600 mm with a total length of 21805 m. The Piling Works Related to Sohar Refinery Project Sohar, Oman”, were completed on 19 August 2004. The agreement was made on 27. December 2003 with CCC Oman L.L.C. The scope of the project covered 5796 nos of cast in situ bored piles with outer diameters varying from 450 mm to 900 mm with a total length of 54497 m.
Final Completion Certificate for Azzawiya LPG Recovery Plant Project has been granted
STFA has been granted with the Final Completion Certificate for Azzawiya LPG Recovery Plant Project in Libya on 11.October.2004. The project had been awarded on 1.December.1997 and the temporary completion certificate had been granted on 26.August.2001
